Alexandria, Va. (June 4, 2009) — Landon IP, Inc., the global leader in professional patent searching and analysis, has incorporated updates to Intellogist, the free online tool that provides the intellectual property community with a revolutionary resource for finding objective information about patent searching tools and sharing best practices.
Available at http://www.intellogist.com, the new content includes:
- Addition of a new system report for EBSCOhost, a non-patent literature search system from EBSCO Publishing that offers a la carte annual subscriptions (site- or seat-based) to over 150 databases. This tool’s target users are education specialists, medical specialists, and general corporate and government researchers.
- Updates to the system report for Inspec, a non-patent literature search system developed by The Institution of Engineering and Technology for the fields of physics, electronics, computing, mechanical engineering, control systems, and business automation. The report update reflects changes implemented with the May 2009 “reload” of Inspec and updated numbers and record counts.
Julie Cook, Product Manager, noted, “When we launched Intellogist in April, we made a commitment to continue to expand and update its content and coverage. We plan to honor that commitment, as indicated by these changes. We’ll be adding another new system report next week, and all of the system reports will be updated on a regular basis.”
Intellogist’s capabilities will be invaluable to anyone involved in patent searching, whether they are identifying a system to use for a specific search or deciding what systems to purchase for their firm or company. In addition to the Landon IP-authored system reports, registered users will benefit from, and can participate in, Intellogist’s community-based features, such as a discussion forum for posting and answering patent search-related questions and best practices articles on patent searching tools and techniques.
